Heartland Equestrian Center 7510 Deer Rd, Custer, WIWe are all looking forward to the 2021 Keuring. This is a free event for spectators so mark your calendars and we will post more information once it is available.
2022 Friesian Keuring (Inspection) Registration Deadline
All Applications must be postmarked by September 10, 2022. After that, applications will be assessed a $25 late fee. Mail application to: Tiffany van der Kooi 15530 Will Road Rockton, IL 61072
2023 Friesian Keuring (Inspection) Registration Deadline
All Applications* must be postmarked by September 08, 2023. After that, applications will be assessed a $30 late fee. Mail application to: Tiffany van der Kooi 15530 Will Road Rockton, IL 61072 *Refunds will be given up to 48 hours prior to the keuring and will only be given with a signed letter from a veterinarian indicating reason. 2025 Wisconsin Friesian Keuring
FeaturedHeartland Equestrian Center 7510 Deer Rd, Custer, WIKeuring 2025 – All Purebred Friesian horses (Mainbook, bbI, bbII) Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to host the Midwest Friesian Keuring on October 7–8, 2025, at Heartland Stables in Custer, WI. This is an amazing opportunity, and we hope to carry on this beloved tradition with your help. Each North American Keuring site must register a minimum of 24 horses to remain eligible to host a Keuring in 2025. If a site has less than 24 entrees it may be in jeopardy of being cancelled. If a site is cancelled for this reason a decision will be made by Aug. 15th, 2025. And what an opportunity to have your horse(s) judged and ranked by some of the top judges from the Netherlands! Having 24 horses helps keep the Keuring circuit viable and will allow GLFHA to continue the tradition in 2026. As the saying goes, “use it or lose it.” We certainly don’t want to lose it and it’s time to showcase the Friesian horse! 2025 Friesian Keuring
Heartland Equestrian Center 7510 Deer Rd, Custer, WIJoin us for the 2025 Friesian Keuring being held at Heartland Equestrian Center in Custer, WI. The Keuring begins October 6 through October 7, 2025. Keuring is a Dutch word meaning inspection. Friesians are inspected annually to determine which ones are worthy of the only certified database of purebred Friesians in the world. This record is called the KFPS, or Royal Friesian Studbook. Judges are almost always Dutch, certified in the Netherlands to judge the horses against a single standard, a single Friesian ideal. We look forward to seeing you all.
